Maternity | Natural and Organic Outdoor Sunset Session | Chelsea + Daniel

Chelsea + Daniel

Chelsea’s due date is 10/5/16. It took them 2 years to get pregnant and they ended up getting pregnant through IUI. They are having a baby boy and his name is Nolan (a name they both decided on) and his middle name – Scott (Chelsea’s father’s name). A little tidbit about Chelsea + Daniel is that I also shot their wedding almost 2 years ago! They are high school sweethearts – dating since they were 16 which makes it 14 years that they have been together. Their wedding anniversary is coming up 9/20/16 which will make 2 years already! Time flies! Basically they have been waiting for this little guy to come and they have had nothing but the love and support of their family and friends and that is what gave them the strength to get them through it all. We did this session at sunset at The Burnside Plantation (where they were also married). I shot digital and film. I used my Pentax 645N and a Canon 5D Mark III. I used Photovision for the film scans and just matched the digital images to my film scans.

Pentax 645N + Fuji 400H Film | Brunch with friends at Terrain

When I was a little girl my dad successfully imparted his love for film! I absolutely love shooting with my Pentax 645N. It forces me to slow down when I’m framing the shot and choosing settings. These images below were just for fun. They are from my 3rd roll of film that I’ve ever shot with this camera! I’m sure I’ll develop preferences but I’m really happy overall with the results so far. I only get 16 shots from one roll of film so every single shot counts. This was a fun day at Terrain with my friends Lauren, Hillary and Maddie. Lauren organized a beautiful brunch for a group of boss lady Philadelphia professional photographers and then afterwards I asked these girls if I could take a few film pics of them. It was such a fun day and I love this group of ladies.

Bethany + Sean Wedding | Fiddle Lake Farm

This was one of my all-time favorite weddings I’ve ever photographed. The couple was so down-to-earth and so sweet. I always love shooting at Fiddle Lake Farm too. I’ve shot 3 weddings there now and it is one of my favorite locations for a rustic, barn wedding.

I really liked the details at their reception…very unique and personal to who they are as a couple. Bethany and Sean love to run marathons so they chose to use their race tags as their table centerpieces at the reception.

Sean ran a marathon the morning of his wedding and he won first place – this is the wheel of cheese that they gave him…haha!

Dane | Senior Portrait Session

I really love photographing seniors and this session was no exception! I really enjoyed this session in particular because Dane is also very much into photography and we had a lot in common. He is headed for SCAD after he graduates. I can’t wait to see where he ends up – he has such a bright future ahead!
